A Scientist's Life in Eve

Clearing some capitals

The two Revelations I had up on contracts both sold last night, which was good news as they’d been up on contracts for a few days, which is longer than I’m used to.  I’ve reinvested about 2 billion into mineral buy orders to replenish some stocks, and the rest has been put into savings for now as we increase our working capital.

Talking of which, I’m nearing completion of a nice sized order for a very high profile client.  I’m not going to mention the name here yet, as I haven’t been given permission to do so, and they haven’t mentioned it as far as I am aware yet either.  However, the order is a good sized one with some other bits and pieces thrown in, and also a client I’m very pleased to be involved in a transaction of this sort with.

As an aside, I’m going to hit up my corp mate who produces boosters, and probably take a supply with me to the delivery system to put up on the market there and hopefully encourage some substance abuse among the local residents.

I had hoped to jump a stack of things out to hi-sec last night, but sadly my usual lo-sec escape systems were more than slightly busy.  Although inconvenient, it’s not exactly show stopping, however it does mean that it’s just a day’s delay in finishing off my collection of items to take to conduct my Faction Warfare market experiment.

Instead, I spent a relaxing hour mining in a small asteroid cluster, ripping a poor helpless Arkanor rock apart.  The proposed changes to mining barges and exhumers is something I’m very much looking forward to, as I tend to mine without orca support and therefore Mackinaws with the supposedly massive ore hold will be the order of the day for me, with the hulks kept in reserve for Corp mining ops.

This is an excellent move from CCP generally, their approach to ship balancing is something to be congratulated.  Instead of tweaking this ship here and that ship there, they have almost started with a blank sheet of paper – it’s definitely something that will revitalise the use of different hulls in the game, and certainly give more flexibility in the future when introducing new ships – it will simply make more sense.

Now I’m just looking forward to seeing if they’ve finally added the dresses to the NeX store so I can make my main character more like the space barbie she always wanted to be :P
